Corporate Pricing currently has an opening for a Pricing Analyst.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data, converting resource estimates into cost estimates, preparing pricing data, and participating in request for proposal (RFP) analyses for the Pricing department within the Group, a geographically dispersed organization with annual revenue in excess of $4 billion.
Reporting to a Pricing Director or Principal Pricing Analyst, under limited supervision, the successful candidate will lead routine to complex pricing proposals in response to customer requests, assist in fact finding efforts and the negotiation process, work cross-functionally to collect the necessary data for pricing effectiveness, participate in proposal kick off meetings and provide input into proposal schedules as well as templates and pricing instructions for subcontractor proposals, customize templates as needed to meet specific requirements, understand the basis of estimates submitted by the technical estimators, perform direct rate analysis, analyze proposals and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to populate the pricing database, conduct peer reviews when needed, input pricing narratives and cost volume outlines, develop business cases, participate and present in pricing reviews, and support audit activities as they arise.
QualificationsTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
A Bachelor's degree in business
administration or related field is required. Four years of directly related
experience and training will be considered equivalent to the degree
The candidate must have a minimum four years of relevant work experience, have excellent communication skills, possess the desire to learn about business principles such as cost collection, project control and finance, analysis techniques, proposal analysis and price to win scenarios. The successful candidate must have working knowledge of cost estimating systems, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Government cost accounting principles and standards, and unique Government acquisition and proposal development processes.
An understanding and ability to work with the Microsoft office suite, especially Excel, is highly desirable.
