SAIC is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of large enterprise business systems and, in particular, Human Capital Management business processes, and related financial business processes.  The Business Analyst role will serve as a liaison between the Information Technology Office and its functional area customers.  

To ensure business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business stakeholder needs.  A successful Business Analyst will:
  • Perform continuous reviews to align processes (i.e. models, goals, and expectations) with changing business conditions for a given business process or functional area
  • Provide data expertise in various aspects of the project lifecycle 
  • Educate process stakeholders on how to identify and solve process challenges through the simulation of different scenarios, analysis of performance metrics and advanced optimization techniques
  • Work with the stakeholder to define the business value for new projects and present ideas to Senior Leadership
  • Suggest process flow, personnel resource, policy, goal and rule changes along with metrics to measure the impact of those changes
  • Contribute to projects on ITO roadmap
  • Work with the business process architect, process owner, executive sponsor, business subject matter experts and others as necessary to determine the future state of a specific business process
  • Understand at a high level how implemented applications support business processes under consideration for change and project manage system implementations as necessary
  • Collect, analyze, document and communicate business needs and requirements. 
  • Work with internal IT organization to translate business requirements into design requirements via use cases or other techniques as appropriate
  • Help identify enhancements to existing tools and identify the need for new tools when applicable
  • Perform data and systems analysis using SQL tools
  • Assist with testing and change management
 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business is required and an advanced degree is a plus
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience with business process reengineering in the functional areas of Human Resources and Finance.  Experience in Procurement, Business Development and Contracts is a plus.
  • Track record of working on projects that delivered for different types of business value: revenue growth, customer satisfaction, process efficiency or cost reduction
  • Ability to work in fast paced, collaborative distributed environment 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Passionate about high quality customer service and success
  • Experienced in the Government Contracting industry
  • Experienced with HCM and Finance ERP implementations
