SAIC is looking for someone who can assist in PM duties including: developing and refining program concept and specifying deliverables; identifying and maintaining relationships with transition partners, source selection support; analyzing technical performance, deliverables, and publications; and continuously surveying and summarizing government, academic and industrial research.
Provide technical advice in the areas of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, computational neuroscience, and machine learning.
Communicate complex research results in written and spoken form to diverse audiences.
Assist in conducting site visits or holding teleconferences with technical performers, advisors and technical evaluation teams.
Proactively analyze and critique whitepapers, proposals, progress reports, test reports, and suggestion mitigations strategies for potential performance risks.
Maintaining knowledge of state-of-the-art in in functional and structural connectomics, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, computational neuroscience, and machine learning.
Perform research literature searches and review technical materials.Draft programmatic and technical documents including briefings, source selection and review materials.
TS/SCI clearance or eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar field of study. Must have taken neuroscience courses and worked in neuroscience-related laboratory. Educational background in quantitative discipline or sub-discipline (e.g. computational neuroscience) is preferred.
Technical expertise and professional work or graduate-level research experience in two or more of the following areas within the past five years: computational neuroscience, connectomics, neurophysiology, imaging/microscopy, or machine learning.
High proficiency with MS Office 2010 and Google docs, familiarity or willingness to learn/use online collaboration tools (MS SharePoint).
Graphic design capabilities and high attention to detail in written documents / presentations
Able and willing to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes unpredictable environment.
Able and willing to proactively and independently identify potential technical and programmatic risks and advise the PM.
