The Program Manager leads our Data Center Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team provide high quality, always on IT environments and solutions that support our customer’s data center hosting technology, application support, cyber security, data management, and other services.  Operating within PMBOK and industry best-practice IT Service Management (ITSM) framework, the Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the efficient integration of technical and programmatic support functions, the successful implementation of governance process improvements, and delivering outcomes that result in the government achieving their strategic objectives. 

 

The PM will manage and integrate customer needs with data center infrastructure O&M activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance to meet SLAs and deliver customer satisfaction.  The PM motivates and incents the data center team to develop innovations and efficiencies to drive performance and lower cost while managing risk, customer relationships, and program staffing.  With support of the QC Manager, the PM ensures compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to leadership, supports business development and overall program staff management and development. This position is responsible for the efficient integration of technical and programmatic data center infrastructure support functions, the successful implementation of governance process improvements, and delivering outcomes that result in the government achieving their strategic objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all actions impacting technical and financial performance, and achieving and maintaining an effective and efficient working relationships within the team, government leadership, other support contractors, and all other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute strategy and deliverables, write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently, to and/or for, all levels of industry audience, clients and internal staff and management.
  • Successfully execute deliverables, which includes the following: presentation slides, practice marketing materials, change management plans and/or project plans, workshops for various internal and external clients and audience levels, practice methodologies and tools, policies and procedures, whitepapers, other standard business communications.
  • Present transparent reporting of program status and activities incorporating Earned Value Management techniques and leveraging data from a variety of Government-provided IT Management tools and systems.
  • Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the customer requirements.
  • Plans and implements actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services.
  • Directs project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as principal customer interface.
  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving
  • multiple complex and inter-related project tasks.
  • Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
  • Meets with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
  • Ensures conformance with program task schedule and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and fifteen (15) years of experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more of experience. 
At least 8 years in an IT Program Management position
Current PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Significant experience coordinating multiple vendors, crosses functional technology and infrastructure projects simultaneously.
Extensive knowledge in Enterprise IT Operations through directing, managing, implementing and executing business and technology related solutions and project teams that involve shared services, assessments, design, business case development, IT strategy, planning, performance management, IT effectiveness, benchmarking, operating, systems integration, cloud architecture and infrastructure management.   


Desired Qualifications

 ITIL Foundations Certification

·    Experience successfully managing an IT support program with approximately 100 or more staff.
