Description

POSITION: Engineering Technician - US Navy - MK-137 SRBOC Launcher
LOCATION: Norfolk, VA and aboard US Navy ships ashore and afloat (CONUS and OCONUS)

JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking experienced US Navy Super RBOC technicians to provide engineering and technical support for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 292. The selected candidate will work as a part of a team to remove, store, refurbish and install MK-137 SRBOC systems on board U.S. Navy ships.

 

Position is contingent upon award.

 


Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of six (6) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems. A minimum of three (3) years full-time engineering experience within the last 10 years in Combat systems, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I in a hands-on or supervisory capacity over technicians operating and maintaining Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.
Supervisory capacity includes: Team leader performing engineering support services such as:
o (1) engineering change installations
o (2) technical assists
o (3) systems certifications
o (4) INSURVs
o (5) material condition assessments
o (6) systems installations
• A minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience in the installation of MK-137 Mod 4 SRBOC Launchers.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• A valid unexpired U.S. Passport.
• A valid unexpired First Aid/CPR Certification from accredited organization (e.g., Red Cross).

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Active DOD SECRET.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 10%
