Description

SAIC is looking for a Communications Manager who plans, implements, and evaluates a variety of communication activities designed to impact positive program outcomes. Coordinates and conducts activities related to long-and short-range planning; program and project development, implementation and evaluation; audience research; and translation and dissemination of program information to audiences in a variety of formats following Plain Writing Act guidelines. Coordinates the dissemination of program information through written, Web-based, and digital media formats. Prepares and presents communication materials (i.e., newsletters, user communications, notifications/updates) for publication on government websites.  Works closely with internal team in the preparation of technical notifications and then government customers in their approval.   Participates in work groups and government / contractor activities to understand and document synergies. Leads informal work teams by organizing and directing team activities, including setting and monitoring objectives, and providing advice, guidance, and direction on a range of program communication.

Qualifications

 

Required Education/Skills:


a)       6+ years of experience preparing and delivering program communications services in a large federal government IT environment.

b)      Intermediate to Advanced skills with Google G-Suite, and/or Microsoft Office products.

c)       Knowledge and experience using IT ticket management systems, such as ServiceNow.

d)      Knowledge of and experience adding and updating website data and providing communications through web or email distribution tools.

e)       Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively with internal technical and management personnel and C-Suite government customers.

f)       Ability to communicate complex technical content clearly and concisely (verbally and written).

g)      Able to obtain a US “Public Trust – moderate” clearance. 


Desired Education/Skills:


a)       PMP or CAPM Certification

b)      ITIL® Intermediate Level Certification

c)       Familiarity with Enterprise IT environments and organizations in a federal civilian government environment.

d)      Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or related discipline
