Job Description




SAIC has an opportunity for a seasoned Business Architecture Analyst (BAr) to work with a team of fellow analysts who are responsible for the development and implementation of best practices and disciplines associated with business architecture and value driven design.  The BAr will work within a team environment, demonstrating the ability to identify and work effectively with key business and IT stakeholders, reaching out and establishing working relationships with them, and coordinating their business capabilities capture and assessment efforts.  They candidate will need to work well in a highly collaborative team environment, while maintaining individual tasks and performance objectives.  The documented business architecture analysis outputs are foundational for portfolio level business and technology evaluations that will need to be communicated effectively to business stakeholders, financial analysts, other architects, and technical professionals in order to recommend optimal solutions towards maximizing business and technical value optimization.




  •   Provide day to day team collaboration, leadership, and planning
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership to team members and individuals around the organization

  • Identify appropriate techniques for gathering business capabilities and needs from stakeholders

  • Identify and document business capabilities from stakeholders

  • Identify and document business processes using modeling standards like UML or BPMN

  • Identify capability and process gaps and provide options on how to improve or optimize them

  • Identify which processes are supported by application(s), what data supports the process, and what technology infrastructure is in place to support the process



  • Bachelor's Degree (4 years’ experience in lieu of degree) with 10 or more years of experience in Portfolio or Program Analysis, Business Analysis, Business Architecture or similar discipline.
  • Strong executive level oral and written skills in communication, presentation, and facilitation with responsibilities for updating client and SAIC contract leadership

  • 3 - 5 years experience working within or managing a high performance team

  • Working experience with Visio and documenting business processes

  • Demonstrate a working understanding of modeling and analysis tools

  • Modeling processes using various notation (Unified Modeling Language, Business Process Modeling Notation, Workflows, Swim lanes, etc)

  • Facilitating organizational change management strategies/plans, approaches and tactics with different business areas

  • Ability to pass a government NACI background investigation



Desired Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of the Business Architecture practice model, as defined by the Business Architecture Guild’s Body of Knowledge (BIZBOK)
  • Government consulting experience
