SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a Program Manager to support the Army Sharp Ready and Resilient Directorate Training Support contract.  This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located in Arlington, VA. 

The Program Manager is responsible for successful delivery of the program tasks and deliverables to the SHARP, Ready and Resilient (SR2) Directorate managing the performance of all tasks and/or projects through all five phases of program management (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring/Control, and Closure/Completion).  Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.  Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements.  Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing.  Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership.  Support business development and program staff management. 
 
General Program Execution Expectations:

Manages performance requirements to the program baseline. 

Identifies and analyzes variances, and recommends corrective actions through various Program Management Reviews both company internal and government driven.  

Manages a large size program and staff that will include subcontractors and suppliers. 

Conducts management and contract discussions in coordination with senior SAIC staff and customers.  

Uses standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, or tools. 

Answers directly to customer needs with an entrepreneurial level of freedom of action within the guidelines and ethical underpinnings of SAIC's policies and procedures.  

Primary customer interface for technical and management matters, information sharing, and problem resolution.  
Reports to a Director. 

Overall responsible for all staff on the contract and is the direct supervisor for the Deputy Program Manager, the Operations Manager and Six Regional Training Center Managers.

Possesses leadership and management skills enabling near-independent execution and leadership of the entire operation.  

Executes all phases of personnel management from recruiting, hiring, developing, strategically leading, and as necessary disciplining all employees on the contract.  

Overall responsible for successful program execution across all dimensions of leadership.
 
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • Master's degree from an accredited academic institution and have a minimum of twenty years relevant experience working within the DOD.
  • Minimum of twenty years relevant experience managing, staffing, overseeing, and completing the same or similar work to the tasks identified, such as training facilitation and education, program development and management, familiarity with Army and DoD structures and commands, including a demonstrated knowledge and experience managing a geographically dispersed organization with subordinate elements that have responsibilities to the SR2 Directorate and to the installations they support. 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
