SAIC is seeking Expert Targeting Officers to support an operational and analytical program for an Intelligence Community customer in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Targeting officers play an essential analytical role in applying methodologies, technology, and tools, to identify, extract, and analyze critical intelligence information. Targeting Officers also query, assess and analyze information, systems and data to identify information of interest; sustain and increase knowledge of complex geographic and/or functional areas or issues; develop plans and approaches to support requirements; aggregate and distill complex data, relationships, and information into succinct and effective language to inform decisions; generate supporting research and relevant products to advance projects and the production of reports; develop, sustain, evolve and apply relevant skills to projects; perform analysis and support to Sponsor personnel, to include coordination, documentation, and progress monitoring/reporting; adhere to, and incorporate relevant regulatory and policy issues in the performance of targeting duties; and use open source, GOTS, and COTS tools and capabilities to manage and manipulate information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (or five years of relevant work experience)
  • And 20 or more years of applied operational experience as a targeting officer or other similar role
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience in the IC performing similar targeting work
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Intelligence Community's operational mission
  • Experience drafting and producing intelligence products, including cables
  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective briefings
  • Ability to work well on a team or independently
  • Foreign field experience from at least two PCS tours or extensive TDY experience of comparable duration
  • Prior certification in intelligence operations tradecraft
