SAIC is seeking software engineers to provide the U.S. Air Force support for agile software development services in Boston, MA. The software engineers will be work in a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery to support the mission. Some of the tasks the team will perform but not limited to; creating and implementing platform deployments; supporting application development teams in their various platform-related needs; ensuring the platform is stable, secure, and reliable; and integrating the platform with external enterprise core services.
Job Description: Candidate must have advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in developing, implementing software programs. This candidate is responsible to maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, with duties to write and update software code under contract and direction from the assigned Government Product Manager. This competency is required to further test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization. The individual shall recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary. Individual shall be capable of performing the software tasks identified in the contract requirements in forming and working on Government / Contractor software coding teams.
Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience. In lieu of a degree an additional 4 years of experience is required in the following areas:
a) 4 years’ experience in some software development discipline to include Java, Web services, Database, or web application development.
b) 2 years’ experience with DevSecOps tools and processes to include, but not limited to Git, Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify and ThreadFix
c) 2 years’ experience providing system administration support to a diverse set of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc.)
d) Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration techniques
