Mid-level Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA.
is a supporting role position for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC)
CAMEO Project. CAMEO Supports NAVAIR PMA 275 V-22 program office and is responsible
for aviation logistics environment software design, development and deployment.
The Systems Engineer will support the SSC Pacific CAMEO project
which is focused on improving aviation logistics through data-driven
initiatives for the V-22 Osprey. This position will support multiple facets in systems
engineering with working knowledge in project management, document development,
technical assessment, risk management and various SE activities. The candidate shall
assist the systems architect and team in formulating and assessing current and
future needs of the project, conducting analysis of alternatives, and
contributing to the development of the project roadmap.

directives, and other stakeholder guidance, and identify latent and emerging

capabilities assessments using the most current architecture standards and

needs and current-funded capabilities) and conduct technology gaps assessments
(i.e., evaluate the difference between capability gap and available or
forecasted technology solutions)
Conditioned Based Maintenance (CBM+) needs and requirements
and develop required technical and supporting CAMEO documents

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in practice of Systems Engineering

Ability to operate in an agile software environment
Proficient in business productivity suites in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and the ability to work on multiple web platforms
Good communications skills, both oral and written
Ability to communicate concepts through presentations and meetings.
Location is at a government facility located in San Diego, CA (Point Loma Bayside)
Ability to travel at least 10% of the time
2+ years of fleet, aviation maintainer experience. (V-22 Osprey preferred).
Experience working with Naval Aviation and NAVAIR.
Knowledge of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
Understanding of network architectures
Working knowledge in business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response
Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Security + certification and/or network technical certifications
Knowledge in DoDAF and architecture development
Working knowledge in software sustainment
Working knowledge in Cyber Security accreditation certification process
Recent experience with scrum and agile process
Recent use of JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar collaboration tools
