Job Overview:

Applicant must possess strong knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016.  The successful candidate must have a strong background in Active Directory, user administration, file and printer server, and troubleshooting.  This position also requires an ability to develop and maintain documentation, manage and initiate project work and be able lead a small team. This is a hands-on position, so the individual will have to utilize both their technical and leadership experience to fulfill the requirements of this role.  Support would include but not limited to the following:


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for user provisioning/de-provisioning and management, including, user access, security group management, directory file share access, VPN access and initial email account attribute setup.
  • Configure and maintain print queues and permissions for print servers.
  • Manage and create DHCP scopes and reservations for laptops/workstations and printers.
  • Monitor server performance and availability.
  • Address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and installing applications.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems and provides on-call support.  Performs research for problems, defines solutions, performs research for problems, defines solutions, and coordinates implementation of solution with staff and customers.
  • Team Lead responsibilities include: assigning and prioritizing tasks and projects to the team, leading regular team meetings, attending project meetings, providing status updates to leadership
  • Assists security staff in conducting internal system reviews and audits in accordance with defined policy/procedures to ensure system/component settings remain in order as specified by security guidelines. Provide applicable document as resolution of security findings.
  • Manages and responds to IT requests via Trouble Ticket System in accordance with customer Service Level Agreements requirements.
  • Manages and maintains IT system changes via Change Request System in accordance with Change Management Policy and Procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other teams and work closely with both internal and external customers.
  • Provide after hours and on-call support as part of a rotation

Qualifications

 

Requirements:
HS diploma with 8+ years of experience or BA and 4 years to include the following:
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016
  • Strong Experience with Active Directory
  • At least 5 years’ experience
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Desirable Requirements
Desired:
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience with DNS, DCHP.
 

Clearance Requirement:

Must be able to pass the Public Trust Government background investigation.
