POSITION TITLE: Senior Configuration Process Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops and maintains configuration management tools to support configuration item (CI) identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure service assets’ operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware and software configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support service asset development and use. May develop configuration standards for program-wide use. May train engineers and developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of configuration management quality standards. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.

QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
