POSITION TITLE: Operations Watch Team Lead
Leads team which provides systems and operations monitoring over a broad range of services delivered by a large team of field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.
Responds to situations where systems alarms or events are captured or referred to the team for investigation and resolution.
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
May be involved in customer installation and training.
Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
Generally interacts directly with the customer/user when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software where the user has a technical background.
May interact with product support personnel and potentially the customer when the customer's problem cannot be resolved directly by second or third level resources.

Manages experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence.
Establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates tracking assignments. Reviews impacts and objectives to determine success of operations.
Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect work centers.
Interprets organization-wide policies, procedures, and operational activities.

Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications.
Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
