Position Title: Audio Visual Engineering Manager
Job Description: Serves as lead VTC / AV manager in classified and unclassified audio and video teleconferencing networks and systems. Provides technical support to VTC and AV events in scheduling, set-up, and testing / troubleshooting of events. Experience working independently in a fast-paced military environment is a must. The candidate must be able to: develop / identify VTC and AV technical solutions responsive to the customer needs; implement procedures, policies, and technical solutions to military headquarters VTC challenges; and participate in the execution of VTC network installations and hardware upgrades.
* Five years’ experience in the following areas:
o Operating and maintaining VTC systems.
o Scheduling of VTC events.
o Installation of AV and VTC systems.
o Providing technical services in a DOD environment.
* Required knowledge and experience of the following equipment:
o MCU bridge (Cisco Codian or similar).
o Codecs (Cisco C60, S80 or similar).
o Crestron controller systems.
o Desk Top VTC units (Cisco EX series or similar).
o Audio Visual equipment (monitors, speakers, audio amplifiers)
o Planar Direct Vue Display Walls
o Digital Signage Systems
o Cable / Satellite TV Systems
o Full Motion Video Systems
* Experienced in documenting and revising processes and procedures.
* Clear, authoritative and professional communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize work and deliver to deadline.
* Experience preparing for and chairing meetings.
* Self-motivation and drive for continuous improvement.
* Natural team player with desire to encourage interaction and integration.
Bachelors Degree preferred. In lieu of degree 14+ years industry experience with a minimum 5+ years of experience in proposed area of responsibility is required.
