SAIC has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to proactively assess and improve program-level Quality. This position is in Ashburn, VA and will report to the Program Manager for the Information Technology Enterprise Management Systems Solutions (ITEMSS) program; formerly - Lifecycle Sustainment of the Reserve Component Automation Systems (RCAS). The candidate will have 8-12 years of experience and will be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Execute large scale complex continuous process improvement projects – including conducting audits to enforce quality methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large IT based organization.
  • Maintain relevant metrics that support the team’s efforts to determine how they are doing.
  • Observe Agile and Scrum methodology processes during audits for functional, integration and acceptance testing
  • Conduct quality control process audits for software application testing to produce metrics and earned value measurements (EVMs)
  • Conduct monthly documentation and process audits for quality assurances.
  • Performed technical documentation and media reviews.
  • Advise and mentor Lean Belts and Quality Engineers in the their process improvement/business process reengineering projects, sharing expertise to ensure successful project implementation
  • Develop Six Sigma project templates and tools for the organization
  • Develop a plan to institutionalize lessons learned to programs across the entire business
  • Analyze contract data (customer surveys and CPARS) to proactively address program performance. Use internal and external benchmarks to compare relative performance and to devise improvements.
  • Conduct ISO 9001Audits and CMMI Assessments.
  • Performed technical documentation and media reviews.
  • Conduct physical on-site surveys; prepare site survey documents, installation plans and equipment layouts for field installations of Storage Area Network (SAN) at the NASA ECS Project-Remote Data Store (RDS). Prepare site analysis reports, installations and training support.
  • Advise and mentor Lean Belts and Quality Engineers in the their process improvement/business process reengineering projects, sharing expertise to ensure successful project implementation
  • Develop Six Sigma project templates and tools for the organization
  • Develop a plan to institutionalize lessons learned to programs across the entire business

  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.

  • Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.

  • May design embedded systems software.

  • Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Execute large scale complex continuous process improvement projects -

  • Observe Agile and Scrum methodology processes during test phases for functional, integration and acceptance testing

  • Conduct quality control process audits for software application testing to produce metrics and earned value measurements (EVMs)

  • Conduct monthly documentation and process audits for quality assurances


Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma
  • 8-12 years of experience
  • Security Clearance - Secret
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting audits and reviews/analysis of data and documentation.
  • Experience in enforcing the program’s quality methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large IT based organization.
  • Maintain relevant metrics that support the team’s efforts to determine how they are doing.
  • Experience with the CMMI-DEV assessments process.
  • Experience leading ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and S 9100D audits and recovery efforts.
  • Must have a record of strong performance and be a trusted professional with a high level of credibility at all levels.
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Must have program – level Quality experience and an understanding of statistics
  • Advanced interpersonal, communications, customer service and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to successfully interface with executive management
  • Experience in executing and coaching Lean Six Sigma/business re-engineering projects
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Demonstrated proficiency using server repository tools for technical documentation and Agile methodology
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications & Minitab

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Provide Quality Assurance (QA) for the Reserve Component Automation (RCA) program supporting the US Army National Guard and Army Reserve

  • Experience with US Army Reserved Component Forces
  • Experience leading ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and S 9100D audits and recovery efforts
  • Experience with Mission Assurance and Quality Control for US Army Reserve Component organizations
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • PMI PMP Certification
