Job Description


The mission of the Facilities and Deployment Directorate (MDA/FD) is to site, acquire, oversee design and construction of, operate, and maintain real property in support of the global Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission in Huntsville, AL and Honolulu, HI.

This support includes, but is not limited to, providing or performing planning and engineering analysis as they relate to these functional areas:

  • Provide facilities civil/structural engineering technical support. Provide civil/structural support for facilities planning, programming, design, construction and equipment installation for required MDA facilities and infrastructure

  • Assist in decision documentation preparation such as briefings and supporting materials (white papers, fact sheets, status reports, progress reports, and information papers) that support life-cycle civil/structural management of MDA facilities and  infrastructure

  • Stakeholder coordination through the execution of Working Groups and Integrated Product Teams

  • Facility planning and documentation; development of, and coordination of facility and infrastructure requirements.

  • Design process coordination; review and comment to facility designs

  • Development and coordination of facility and infrastructure cost estimates

  • Oversight of on-going construction projects and contractor support services

  • Maintaining of multiple project files and databases as assigned


  • BS in Engineering
  • Five years relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly express ideas/concepts.
  • Demonstrated capability to operate in a multi-task environment. 
  • Demonstrated customer interface skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance to start, as such, US Citizenship required


Desired Qualifications


 Knowledge of MDA policies, plans, and processes.

Experience in developing construction schedules and construction planning processes
