JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer SETA for a position located in the Aurora area. The successful applicant must provide technical expertise, continuity of effort and value-added judgment to advise senior customer leadership on program activities.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
-Support Data Center Manager coordinate and execute associated site data center and communication room power, space, cooling, configuration data management, Request for Change (RFC), documentation revision, and site coordination processes.
-Assist the Data Center Manager conduct the necessary planning, analysis, and coordination to ensure Data Centers are managed in accordance with Intelligence Community policy and guidance.
-Manage information associated with systems engineering, requirements, planning, coordination, and architecture activities supporting a major IT infrastructure effort.
-Advise on the systems engineering implications of IT activities impacting current and planned infrastructure and the organization's IT services as a whole.
-Provide technical support to our government customer through IT planning, coordination, and supporting a move of the IT infrastructure into the cloud.
-Apply virtualization expertise by participating in configuration control boards, operations review boards, project planning and scheduling activities, and requirements elicitation.
-Afford Project Integration Management supporting activities to include performing architectural analysis, project planning, project management, program support documentation and defending budget requests as well as supporting data management activities that involve studies and technical advice.
-Focus on continuously improving service delivery models for facility, security training, and resource management-related services.
-Provide technical assistance to our Government customer through Systems Engineering, Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, Project Management, and Integration Management support.
-Support the identification, collection, assessment, status accounting and reporting of program risks and issues that impact an operational enterprise and to ensure the efficient and effective management of all enterprise risks and issues.
-Work with engineering organizations to evaluate and oversee solutions meeting IT requirement for classified and unclassified Networks, Desktops, Telephony, and Multimedia.
-Provide Government advice on the integration and standardization of IT Services (e.g. Conference Room IT standardization, desktop standardization, multimedia rollout, etc.)

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
