Analyst assists USCENTCOM J3 in developing and executing plans for the management, dissemination, and transfer of pertinent, quality information for HQ USCENTCOM and its Component commands. Supports and advises leadership and CCJ3 on all matters pertaining to information sharing and information management. Works to improve USCENTCOM IM/KM practices and implement information and knowledge management, as required, within the CCJ3.
Participates, interacts, and coordinates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Required to meet information demands and to serve as principle advisers to USCENTCOM operators and analysts in regards to the day-to-day information and dissemination management operations.
Maintains close contact with CENTRIXS J2 and J3 branches to field requirements and establish contact with producers within USCENTCOM in order to stay abreast of intelligence and production and provide coalition awareness to USCENTCOM analysts.
Provides accurate and timely dissemination of critical information across multiple networks and classification levels.
Performs "data mining" of information on multiple US networks and secure release through foreign disclosure authorities, then disseminates and shares this information via coalition information systems.
Works with all U.S and Coalition intelligence producers to ensure information updates are met in a timely manner.
Identifies and develops methods of improving the organization, storage and distribution of information using various SharePoint portals
Provides guidance on structure of sites
Creates project and document dashboards
Ensures uniform navigation throughout sites
Establishes and maintains standardized procedures for tagging and filing information to facilitate rapid, reliable storage and recall of critical data (key words, filing taxonomy, and relevancy tags).
Coordinates with customers to document information exchange processes and improve capability where feasible.
Insures proper incorporation of information exchange requirements of critical data supporting USCENTCOM deliberate planning documents (OPLANS, CONPLANS, etc).
Conducts liaison on IM/KM issues with supporting organizations, departments, and agencies on behalf of the CCJ3.
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience; OR, High School equivalent and 6+ years of experience.
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
Possess strong functional knowledge of the Microsoft SharePoint application.
Knowledge of SharePoint Site design.
Strong knowledge of list and libraries.
Outstanding technical troubleshooting skills and ability to deal with people
Ability to translate complex technical issues into everyday language
Knowledge of U.S. and Coalition classification and releasability caveats
Familiarity with DOD regulations pertaining to IM/KM, Information Technology and SharePoint practices
Knowledge of Joint operations and Joint C2 systems
Joint Operations Center experience a bonus
