Job Description



SAIC is seeking a candidate who can support, design, implement and maintain  enterprise class, highly available, scalable and secure information systems and applications. The team is seeking a very motivated and self-driven individual with a background in information technology, specifically with Windows Servers, Outlook/Exchange and Skype. Candidate will need to help keep numerous systems patched, monitored and integrated into configuration management being deployed. The position will also include supporting email, voicemail and Skype in a tier 3 capacity, and be able to resolve customer problems.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Desktop Support for Windows, email, Skype and Microsoft Office including upgrades, patching and software installation in a complex IT environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of on the job experience with support for servers on a Windows platform to include patching, installation and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • 3 years of direct experience supporting Microsoft Office, specially Outlook and Skype.
  • Applicant must have strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills and demonstrated documentation skills.
  • No clearance is required to start, but candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q level security clearance.

  • Experience working in an ITIL and Agile centered environment
  • Experience working in Remedy ITSM/SmartIT
  • Knowledge of:
    • Networking and firewalls
    • MSIIS
    • MSSQL
    • Active Directory
    • PowerShell Scripting
  • An active DOE Q level clearance
