SAIC is seeking a Senior Action Officer to join our Arlington, VA team.
Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) Strategy and Plans Action Officer
Mid- to Senior-level Action Officer (AO) position in HAF/A2/6OP (ISR & Cyber Effects Operations [CEO], Strategy & Plans Division) in the Pentagon. Provides general support for Next Generation ISR Dominance Flight Plan Annex Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and military officers facilitating the Plan’s implementation. Leads or supports ISR enterprise capability development initiatives and cross-functional team planning for emerging ISR & CEO technologies, capabilities, requirements development, and experimentation. Provides end-to-end support to the development of multi-domain/multi-discipline emerging technological concepts/experiments that enhance data collection, aggregation, and automated analysis. Maintains awareness and integrates experimentation/prototyping efforts across the ISR portfolio to ensure alignment with AF ISR strategy. Proposes strategies for generating operational requirements and acquisition management plans to ensure streamlined capability development to meet AF/A2 strategy/policy/flight plan/concepts. Prepares A2/6 Senior Leaders on issues for Joint decision-making fora. Develops ISR-CEO strategies and participants as an ISR SME in USAF, DoD, and Intelligence Community (IC) strategy formulation working groups.
Perform general AO duties such as working Task Management Tool (TMT) tasks, preparing and/or reviewing Bullet Background Papers (BBPs), briefings, and other forms of written and oral communication; assisting with budget issues; answering Senior Leader & Congressional inquiries; facilitating external personnel visits to the Pentagon; coordinate VTCs/telecons/meetings for both internal & external discussions; and assisting AF customer on any other ISR-related operational or planning issues, as required.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI
-10 years experience with intelligence platforms, sensor operations, and/or operational ISR capabilities
- HAF/SAF/MAJCOM staff experience (3 years minimum preferred)
- CONOP and/or CONEMP plans experience (2 years minimum preferred)
- Master's degree, preferably in related technical field
- Familiarity with the JCIDS, PPBES, and systems acquisition
SME-level experience with USAF ISR enterprise capabilities and issues
Previous Air Staff experience
Background in capability development to include machine learning/artificial intelligence and operational data areas (standards, object based production, DevOps, etc.)
Understanding of the requirements process and/or planning, programming, budgeting, execution cycle
