SAIC is seeking a Program Cost Analyst located at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey to support the Project Manager Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS) to provide Government accounting and financial assistance to the assigned area and financial manager regarding financial and accounting functions, the application of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Prepare and manage the Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) of multiple PM MAS Acquisition Programs at various stages in the acquisition lifecycle, updating the LCCEs in support of major milestones, requirements reviews, programmatic or schedule changes, and in support of what-if drills and excursions to aid in leadership decision making.
  • Prepare Independent Cost Estimates and Acquisition Program Baseline cost estimates.
  • Provide knowledge of Government Accounting functions and use Government financial systems.
  • Provide accounting advice and assistance to team members and Government leadership and provide briefings on accounting matters when needed.
  • Research and resolve abnormal account conditions/transactions.
  • Conduct on-going reviews of accounts to quickly discover abnormal conditions and to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and/or directives.
  • Liaise with external accounting organizations to resolve abnormal account conditions, perform audit functions, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Support audits and quarterly reviews.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Must Possess knowledge of Government Accounting functions and Government financial systems.
  • Experience working with audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Experience providing accounting advice and briefing teams on accounting matters.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain.
  • Must be a current U.S. Citizen.
