SAIC is seeking a proven VTC Support Specialist to join the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Information Technology (IT) Modernization program and support the full range of Enterprise IT services to ARL’s research mission.  Join a team of dedicated professionals at an industry-leading organization, where you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that contribute to national security.

This position is contingent upon contract award expected summer/fall 2025.  The work is to be performed at the customer site at Abderdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

Some of ARL’s focus areas include Biological and Biotechnology Sciences, Electromagnetic Spectrum Sciences, Energy Sciences, Humans in Complex Systems, Mechanical Sciences, Military Information Sciences, Network/Cyber/Computational Sciences, Photonics/Electronics/Quantum Sciences, Sciences of Extreme Materials, Terminal Effects, and Weapons Sciences. The Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring smooth and reliable video conferencing experiences for our organization. This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement and professional growth while supporting critical missions and operations.

  • Set up, configure, and maintain video teleconferencing systems and equipment
  • Provide real-time technical support for VTC sessions, resolving issues promptly
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems
  • Manage and prioritize support tickets through IT ticketing systems
  • Conduct regular system checks and perform preventive maintenance
  • Train and assist users on VTC technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize VTC infrastructure and performance
  • Document technical processes, solutions, and user guides

Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Five (5+) years of experience supporting VTC requirements
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in VTC support or related IT field
  • Knowledge of video teleconferencing systems such as Microsoft Teams
  • Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Proficiency in managing IT support ticketing systems
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and connectivity
  • Experience with audio/visual equipment setup and maintenance
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant VTC certifications (e.g., Zoom Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Technician)
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)




Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
