SAIC is currently seeking a Deployed Exercise Electrical Engineer to support various joint training exercise sites in Okinawa, Japan and throughout the INDOPACIFIC AOR to oversee and manage electrical projects at joint training exercise sites. This includes designing, testing, installing, maintaining electrical systems and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The engineer will collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams, conduct on-site inspections, troubleshoot issues, provide training, and support, and manage power requirements.

NOTE: Position is located in Okinawa, Japan.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Designing and testing electrical systems to ensure both safety and efficiency.
•  Installing and maintaining electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers and other engineering teams to coordinate project activities effectively.
• Conducting on-site inspections to ensure proper installation and functioning of electrical systems and equipment, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Providing training and support to junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and ensure effective project execution.
• Managing and maintaining generators, air conditioners, and IT power requirements to support the exercise sites.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Experience designing and testing electrical systems.
• Experience installing and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Must be able to travel up to 25%.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must have an Active Secret Clearance or higher.
