Location: United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) J56 (Mission Planning Support Division)
Mission Overview: The USSTRATCOM J56 Mission Planning Support Division manages the Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN) Mission Planning and Analysis System (MPAS) to ensure readiness in support of USSTRATCOM’s broader mission to develop and maintain nuclear, cyber, global strike, electronic warfare, missile defense, and intelligence capabilities to deter aggression and, if necessary, respond decisively.
Role Overview: You'll work 100% on-site at USSTRATCOM's Command and Control Facility (C2F) at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Completed in 2019, this state-of-the-art, 916,000 square foot installation features cutting-edge C4ISR systems, high-performance computing, and resilient communication networks to ensure optimal situational awareness and operational efficiency. The facility is equipped with robust physical and cybersecurity measures, modern ergonomic workspaces, and high-quality amenities, fostering a positive work-life balance and an advanced, secure working environment.
As a Software Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing data critical to USSTRATCOM operations. You will join a dynamic 6-person team within a larger 50-person contract, dedicated to representing user interests while achieving operational goals. This role may involve occasional travel (less than 5%) to customer locations within the United States and will involve occasional shift work (including weekends) during military training events.
