SAIC is seeking an experienced, execution-oriented leader and organizer to operate as the Program Integration Operations Lead is support of the Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) program in Chantilly, VA. Consistent with the SDA’s approach, the program will be fast-paced, dynamic, highly exciting, and uniquely rewarding.

As the Program Integration Operations Lead you will be overseeing the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 constellation, which includes hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas including missile warning, tracking and defense and tactical communications to warfighters.  You will work with the SDA, end users, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure the architecture, requirements, implementation, integration and testing are executed successfully.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Directly support the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager as an Executive Officer (XO), assisting and leading routine and ad-hoc management of the day-to-day operations of the team, including programmatic, technical and logistics tasks.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Process.  
  • Oversee RIO Process to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent records. 
  • Ensure seamless execution of RIO working groups and management boards, including pre-coordination across government and contractor teams.
  • Evaluate space vehicle and ground segment risk registers for items with the potential to impact the program. 
  • Quickly elevate issues for leadership and government evaluation and mitigation.
  • Develop and manage CDRL preparation and submittal process, and work with CDRL authors on the team, to ensure quality, compliant, on-time submissions. 
  • Maintain accurate CDRL records and documentation.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of relevant experience OR Masters and 7 years of relevant experience in Engineering or Business Management. Additional professional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance. 
  • Experience with the RIO management processes.
  • Experience with the management and/or preparation of CDRLs.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced space or ground systems development programs.
  • Experience in Agile methods for program management or software development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills, including collaboration with external partner organizations.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
