SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Thermal Monitoring Surveillance System for the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN. 

NOTE: This is a full-time job that can be worked Remote anywhere in the U.S.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Technical Writer will be responsible for writing, updating and maintaining engineering, testing, cybersecurity, and other programmatic documents.
• The Technical Writer will be responsible for drafting user-friendly content that meets the needs of the intended audience.
• The Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining records of those documents in the Configuration Management database tool.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) years' experience; Four (4) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

• Write and edit technical and complex ideas and procedures.
• Work with subject matter experts, observing functional tasks to determine process steps.
• Possess working knowledge of current MIL-STD regulations for document formatting and grammatical conventions.
• Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and version control.
• Ability to organize materials, write an outline, and then use it to develop comprehensive, well-written documents.
• Knowledge of document control and workflows.
• Lifecycle knowledge.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
