SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician III for our Bedford, IN location. 

The ideal candidate must have mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of electrical connectivity, with the ability to follow written instruction and schematic layout.

 Job Duties (may include, but are not limited to): 

  • Assist Production Lead and CM with daily tasking as directed.
  • Provide facilities escort for non-employee visitors to the facility.
  • Able to keep Configuration Management of the tasking, files and correspondences as required to complete the task in a quick and orderly fashion.  
  • Perform written documentation for a variety of moderate tasks and have the ability to learn and apply simple to moderate assimilation of an end item.
  • Kitting parts and cable assemblies per written instruction, integration of parts, cables, assemblies, and sensitive equipment, interaction with other facets of project development and support, such as: Leads, Government Customer, Procurement, Drafting support, Engineering support, Inventory support.  

This person would be able to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general instruction.

Candidate must be detailed oriented and have the ability to read and comprehend and follow written work cards, drawings, and verbal instruction.

Qualifications

Required Education Experience:

  • High School Diploma and two (2) or more years of experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow specific work instruction.
  • Intermediate skill set using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams .
  • Must be detail oriented and able to communicate ideas in a production floor environment.
  • Effective verbal and written skills, with ability to convey in proper sentence structure.
