Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Control Inspector to join our talented team. In this role, you will establish and uphold quality standards for products and services. You will ensure quality thorough checks and recommending enhancements for product, material, component, and operational quality. Additionally, offer support to engineering, IT, and business process improvement initiatives.

Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.

This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain quality standards of products and services. 
  • Check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements. 
  • Provide support to engineering, information technologies, and business process improvement. 
  • Visually examine products for defects, using measuring tools like calipers and gauges to verify dimensions.
  • Perform required tests according to established procedures. 
  • Observe production processes to identify potential quality issues and ensure adherence to established standards. 
  • Record inspection results, document deviations from standards, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
  • Identify defective products, document issues, and notify relevant personnel about quality concerns. 
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports 
  • Recommend adjustments to production processes based on quality data to prevent future defects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 3-4 years' experience in a related field like manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes, ability to read blueprints and technical specifications, proficiency with measuring tools. 
  • Familiarity with quality control methodologies like statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance standards. 
  • High level of accuracy and ability to identify even minor defects. 
  • Ability to analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions. 
  • Clear and concise reporting of quality issues to relevant personnel. 
  • Previous experience in a quality control role within the relevant industry. 
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with management and production line staff. 

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
    • Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
