SAIC is seeking an IT Systems Integrator to perform IT duties pertaining to Army aviation simulation activities at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Description
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Installation, configuration, and maintaining information technology systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware (hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, and servers) and software for local system network services, storage networking devices, and servers.
- Integrate multiple information systems in a networked environment, evaluate and resolve information system issues, effect required hardware upgrades, and repair to maintain mission capability.
- Assisting in the integration of state of the art army aviation simulation systems and general infrastructure desktop, audio visual, and IT systems as well as maintaining inventory and distribution of excess hardware.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; four (4) additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start.
- Must be a current US Citizen.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Computers and Operating Systems (Windows and Linux system administration), Networking, and Infrastructure Integration.
- Experience in Systems Administration, Systems Operations, and/or Audio/Visual.
- Ability to perform the design, installation, configuration, and testing of LAN/WAN environments and interface as necessary with vendors to resolve system configurations, integration problems, and other issues.
- Knowledge of system administration tasks such as scheduling, inventories, and Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to work in a self-directed manner, identifying their own tasks, and fulfilling expectations.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and understand multiple skill set.
Required Certifications:
- A +, Net+, or Security+ certification.
