Introduction

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a SCOM Administrator to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information.  DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program.  This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

• Maintain all aspects of the Microsoft Systems Center Operation Manager (SCOM) Enterprise Management System to include SCOM Infrastructure, SCOM Administrator and Operator Consoles, and SCOM monitoring and alerting
• Design, test, and implement upgrades and enhancements to existing SCOM environments
• Ensure compliance with established Vulnerability Management policies
• Deploy, configure, and maintain SCOM environments
• Monitor system health and performance using SCOM tools
• Develop and implement monitoring policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve SCOM-related issues
• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure infrastructure reliability
• Generate and analyze SCOM reports to guide IT strategies
• Implement updates and patches to the SCOM environment
• Provide training and support to IT staff on SCOM usage
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the SCOM Administrator have the following qualifications:

• BA/BS
• Three (3) or more years of related experience.  An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (ex. CompTIA Security + w/CE)
• Must be able to support on-site schedule at RKB, Quantico, VA
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware preferred)
• Knowledge and understanding of operating systems, networks, and services
• Experience managing system changes and assessing the security impact of those

Desired Qualifications

• TS/SCI
• Experience with SolarWinds and Tenable Security Center
