Description
Position Title: Principal Cyber Engineer/Architect
Description: Join our dedicated team in Colorado Springs, CO to support the US Space Force in advancing and integrating state-of-the-art cyberspace operations capabilities. As a Cyber Engineer/Architect on our team, you will be instrumental in ensuring system security and integration for both defensive and offensive cyberspace warfare missions. Your expertise will help fortify our nation's defense by developing and integrating cyberspace operations solutions, conducting technical assessments, and driving cyberspace warfare activities.
Performance shall include:
•Provide specialized offensive cyberspace operations (OCO) and defensive cyberspace operations (DCO) engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to space mission systems support.
•Provide systems engineering and analysis services to include cybersecurity engineering, system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities.
•Provide an enterprise perspective for the identification and review of risks and risk mitigation plans and work to institutionalize systems engineering best practices across the space enterprise.
•Provide engineering support, work in conjunction with government and contractor personnel to ensure proper operation of OCO and DCO hardware/software and resolution of problems.
•Provide hardware maintenance support to OCO and DCO capabilities including scheduled and unscheduled preventative/corrective actions and emergency maintenance on system devices and infrastructures.
•Support space and cyber mission systems technical baseline.
•Report, track, and document OCO and DCO problems; monitor the progress of unresolved problems; and present updates of system status to both government and contractor personnel.
•Notify the Government of any deviations from requirements and provide recommendations for resolution.
•Develop cybersecurity test strategies, plans, and procedures for space mission systems development and sustainment systems. Execute cybersecurity testing activities to include but not limited to Security Controls Assessments (SCAs), Cyber Tabletop (CTT) Events, Cooperative Vulnerability Identification (CVI), and Adversarial Cybersecurity Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) in an operationally realistic environment to ensure space mission systems remain resilient and maintain their Authorizations to Operate (ATO)s.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
•Master’s Degree in Math, Science or Engineering with bachelor’s and fourteen (14) years or more experience; master’s and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience in cyberspace operations with DoD, NSA, or NRO programs.
•Cyber Workforce Management Program (DoDD 8140.01 & DoD 8570.01-m) Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III and/or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II certified.
•Experience in defining, developing, implementing and sustaining system accreditations for Department of Defense systems and networks.
•Solid understanding and technical knowledge of common cybersecurity engineering, architecture and design and principles.
•Experience working across organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.
•Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams.
•Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and works well in a team environment.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
Required Clearance:
•Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
•Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
•Have a current or be willing to submit to a Polygraph.
•U.S. citizenship required.
