SAIC is looking an SCA Engineering Tech IV to support the US Navy in Bedford, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is seeking a highly organized and motivated leader with a diverse set of engineering technician skills to serve as the subject matter on a fleet of trailers used to transport explosive assets and related equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced environment and will report technical and programmatic information to project stakeholders. 
  • Candidate will be responsible to work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, development, test and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy.
  • Candidate will monitor inspection intervals and coordinate with SAIC, Government, and local vendors to ensure inspection cycles are met without impacting mission needs.
  • The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the U.S. Navy.
  • Serving as our technical expert and on-site representative, you will drive collaboration and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and processes to ensure mission requirements are met.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: 

  • Associate's Degree in related discipline and at least 6 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of related experience. 
  • Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Must have the ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems on operational hardware and software.
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate issues to technical team through verbal communication and technical reports.
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • US Citizenship required.
