Join Our Team

We're seeking a highly skilled Monitoring Systems Administrator to play a critical role in supporting the Department of Transportation's (DOT) infrastructure, services, and application monitoring systems. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the success of our organization.

 

Job Summary

In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting monitoring tools, as well as analyzing and reporting on system performance. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth operation of our monitoring systems, supporting the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure and services.

 

Work Arrangements

  • Full-time (FT) opportunity
  • No travel required
  • Onsite work requirements: 2 days per week at our DOT office

Day-to-Day Activities

1. Provide expert day-to-day monitoring operational support to ensure seamless system performance.

2. Collaborate on technical projects involving monitoring applications, driving innovation and process improvement.

3. Lead recovery operations in the event of operational failure, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution.

4. Identify gaps in monitoring for supported environments, recommending and implementing enhancements to optimize system performance.

5. Develop and maintain accurate documentation for supported environments, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.

6. Support upgrading monitoring systems, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.

7. Participate in weekly on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support for critical systems.

 

Qualifications

Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience providing Service Management System administration services.  
  • Proven experience with administration and configuration of enterprise monitoring applications, such as OpenText Operations Bridge, OpenText UCMDB, OpenText Hyperscale Observability, Microsoft SCOM, WhatsUpGold, SiteScope, or similar systems.
  • Strong background in monitoring Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud environments, with a deep understanding of system performance and optimization.
  • Experience managing enterprise monitoring infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with administration and configuration of OpenText Operations Bridge, OpenText UCMDB, and OpenText Hyperscale Observability is highly desirable.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
