SAIC is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity to support NASA’s present and future human spaceflight programs at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas under the Safety and Mission Assurance Engineering Contract. This is an exciting time to be making history with the NASA Safety & Mission Assurance (S&MA) team assuring continuous human presence on the International Space Station and returning humans to the Moon and on to Mars, safely.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with expertise in travel planning, Microsoft Office tools, and developing Excel spreadsheets for tracking personnel assignments; as well as, meeting scheduling, technical editing, and configuration control. This role is essential in supporting our operations and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Skills: 

  • 5 to 10 years related experience;
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, office administrator, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with travel planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of developing and managing Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in space industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with travel management software or systems.

Required Education & Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain and retain Public Trust security clearance.
