Project Delivery and Growth Lead

SAIC is seeking a qualified Project Delivery and Growth Lead to manage IT projects and help drive growth within our Health Market Segment. Besides managing projects and driving strategic growth, the selected individual will be responsible for managing technical projects.  

 

The selected individual must be able to gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate those requirements into technical requirements for the team. In addition, you must be able to plan and articulate a vision of what information technology advances can provide the client.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Translates the client’s projects and priorities into tasks and deliverables for the other members of the contract team.
  • Create strategic plans centered around driving innovation and growth with our Health Market Segment
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in overall project management by prioritizing, planning and tracking project progress.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements to properly deliver innovative services and solutions.  
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Serves as the development team representative to the PMO office.
  • Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility.
  • Document supporting policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors and 17 years of experience, Masters and 15 years of experience, JD or PhD and 7 years of experience. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Served as a project/program manager on a similar sized effort or larger at least once previously for a Federal customer.
  • 3+ years supporting Federal Health customers.
  • Served as a project manager on a team managing development projects in a Lean or Agile environment at least once previously for a Federal customer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject management experts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other advanced project management tools.
  • Applicants for this position will require security processing from DOJ/Criminal Division, including background and credit screening. Employment and placement is contingent upon receiving this clearance.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
