Description

SAIC is seeking a District Systems Administrator in Seattle, WA to support the US Army Corps of Engineers on the Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS). Provides second-tier support to end-users for Active Directory accounts, Exchange mailboxes, security and distribution groups, Windows servers, and file/data permissions on networked storage. Addresses issues and vulnerabilities with Windows servers as detected by enterprise monitoring systems. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.

NOTE: Must be willing to travel when necessary and willing to work Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time; after hours support may be required on an infrequent basis

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Primary POC for local server, network and telecom repair of District infrastructure components
  • Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments
  • Assist with hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with application owners to minimize disruptions
  • Demonstrate day-to-day adherence with change management precepts and practices and is responsible for writing Change Requests and seeking approval
  • Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions
  • Apply DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guide) and resolve security vulnerabilities
  • Work ServiceNow incidents and requests and provide initial triage of complex tickets

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; four (4) additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

  • Must be willing to travel when necessary
  • Must be willing to work Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time; after hours support may be required on an infrequent basis
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
  • Experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (i.e. VMware or HyperVisor)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory networks and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Distributed File System, etc.)
  • Experience working with file and data permissions on network-hosted file shares and storage (i.e.  NetApp, New Technology File System (NTFS), etc.)
  • Must have basic understanding of Microsoft Exchange mailboxes

Required Certifications:

  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+, ect)

 Required Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
  • Must be a current US Citizen

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
