We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our National Intelligence Program supporting the development, operations and maintenance, and modernization of a complex, hybrid on-premises and cloud enterprise IT environment. As a Systems Administrator, you will be working with an agile, fast paced team focused on increasing data throughput, integrity, security, as well as availability of enterprise systems. This position is in Chantilly, VA.
*This contract is expected to be awarded in early 2025.
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Required:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Familiarity with high-performance network infrastructure that supports data-heavy analytic and software applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to address complex issues.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on supporting a complex enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of and experience with server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization technologies, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Demonstrated ability to manage a secure and scalable infrastructure, balancing performance and resilience.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar for automation of administrative tasks.
Administer and maintain servers, storage, and network systems to ensure the reliable operation of data services and analytic tools.
Ensure proper security measures are in place for the protection of data, including regular system patches and adherence to compliance standards.
Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting system issues, offering timely and viable solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems architecture, configuration, and support procedures.
Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for data services and analytics applications.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and integrate improvements to the data services infrastructure.
3+ years’ experience with continuous monitoring and plans of actions and milestones (POA&Ms).
5+ years’ experience working with NIST 800-53, 800-137 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Demonstrated experience with cyber security concepts to include encryption services, access control, information protection, network security
Hands on experience creating and updating RMF documentation
Demonstrated experience assessing systems within cloud environments focusing on security posture
Ability to interpret vulnerability, risk, and security assessment of hardware and software
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Desired:
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledgeable of various cloud services to include Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service
Understanding of modern networking technologies, including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, and cloud networking services
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, etc.).
