SAIC is currently seeking a Force Design Planner located on Ford Island in Oahu, HI to support USINDOPACOM’s Force Development and Design Directorate (J732) to support the future design, development, facilitation, adjudication, and analysis of table-top-exercises and other similar events. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support the design, development, facilitation, adjudication, and analysis of table-top-exercises and other similar events.
  • Represent the IFDD team at Joint Staff and Service Force Development and Design events.
  • Develop and maintain a Force Design Forecast in collaboration with USINDOPACOM staff.  The forecast will provide a threat informed vision of desired USINDOPACOM joint forces projected 10 years into the future.
  • In collaboration with USINDOPACOM J5, synchronize plans and concepts with IFDD goals and JS concepts.
  • Develop clear and concise written products in support of after action reports and lessons learned. 
  • Effectively communicate in working group meetings in support Force Design efforts.
  • Effectively lead teams, as well as effectively function in a team environment, to accomplish Force Design objectives.
  • Provide Force Design insights into development of USINDOPACOM wargames, exercises, and experiments.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCAITON AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and five (5)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years’ experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience as an action officer in a four-star command headquarters.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the USINDOPACOM area of operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of military processes and procedures for working across Joint Directorates and Component staffs.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain.
  • Must be a current U.S. Citizen.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
