Description
SAIC seeks an experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Job Duties:
- Performing Reliability modeling through Relialsoft Tool Suite e.g.) RCM++, Weibull++, & BlockSim.
- Leading FRACAS Event Review Boards (FERBs) and Failure Investigations.
- Assessing RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Failure (MTTF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), Operational Availability (Ao), and Operational Dependability (Do).
- Performing Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Continuous development of maintenance processes and procedures that improve capabilities, practices, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors and fourteen plus (14) years’ related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day work requirements and tasks.
- Experience with reliability analytical methods (e.g., Weibull analysis, reliability growth analysis, reliability block diagrams etc.
Desired:
- Experience sustaining GBRs, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PARCS, PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
- Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE).
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
