SAIC is seeking a visionary Chief Technical Architect to lead the strategic integration of the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF) Battle Network programs, including the Joint Fires Network (JFN), Cloud Based Command and Control (CBC2), ABMS Data Integration (DI), Tactical Operations Center Light (TOC-L), and related Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Command, Control, and Battle Management (C3BM) programs. This role is pivotal in delivering a unified, resilient, and effective battle network capability to support modern warfighting needs. The scope includes integration across Space, joint services, allies, and coalition forces to ensure seamless interoperability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Integration: Develop and execute a technical integration strategy to align and blend JFN, CBC2, DI, TOC-L, and all ABMS and C3BM programs into a cohesive architecture.
  • Systems Architecture Leadership: Design scalable, secure, and adaptable solutions that address cross-domain data sharing, classification management, and integration challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including program managers, engineers, and operators, to ensure seamless interoperability between systems and with Space, joint services, allies, and coalition forces.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee the development of technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with DAF’s goals for operational resilience, scalability, and data fidelity.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the integrated battle network.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary technical advisor for integration initiatives, engaging with senior leaders in the DAF, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure all technical solutions meet DoD and Air Force policies, security requirements, and operational standards.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience  PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

  • Experience in systems architecture, software engineering, or technical leadership roles, with a focus on DoD programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrating large-scale, multi-domain systems in a secure, cloud-native environment.
  • Strong understanding of DAF’s C2 programs, including JFN, CBC2, ABMS, C3BM, and TOC-L.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures, data integration, and cross-domain solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a track record of successful stakeholder management.
  • U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance or higher (Top Secret/SCI strongly preferred).

Preferred:

  • Experience with advanced warfighting architectures and joint all-domain command and control (CJADC2).
  • Familiarity with data-sharing architectures, classification level integration, and real-time operational systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and digital engineering principles.
  • Publications or patents in relevant technical fields.
