SAIC is seeking an experienced Appian Senior Developer to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality business solutions using the Appian BPM suite. The role requires a deep understanding of Appian architecture, design principles, and best practices to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. 

This is a fully remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and development of complex enterprise-level Appian BPM applications.
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions using Appian BPM.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on Appian implementation techniques.
• Work collaboratively with business analysts, solution architects, and project managers to plan and execute projects.
• Integrate Appian applications with other systems using APIs, web services, and other integration methods.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Optimize application performance and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay up to date with the latest Appian releases and third-party integrations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Appian BPM development.
• Proficient in SAIL, Process Model, Records, Reports, and Deployment.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with modern software architecture patterns such as microservices and containerization.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Appian Certified Senior Developer credential.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
