SAIC is seeking a Field Engineer to support Army Force Protection in Kuwait.

Field Engineers provide numerous solutions to challenges due to the fact they have deployed into the field environment and witnessed most of the problems firsthand. They have a wide range of knowledge with Force Protection systems. They operate with minimal supervision because they understand the process and the task at hand that must be completed.  When conducting their actions at a fielded location they may have to provide training and report the corrective action solution back to management. These actions are important for documenting the problems and preventing them in the future from causing fielding delays. 

Job Responsibilities:  

• Comprehensive installs and de-installs
• Removing hardware and providing new replacements
• Re-configuring and re-imaging software
• Test electronics for communication and network connections
• Completes a complete system status check to ensure they are fully mission capable
• Applying all new software patches which are the direct results of new testing.
• Building network stacks with multiple pieces of equipment from various vendor
• Completing work orders in COLTS logistics database for all actions taken
• Completing all periodic maintenance plans and testing 
• Documenting and maintaining maintenance and test plans

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting hardware/software capability on Forward Operating Bases overseas
• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
• Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Candidates should have strong written and oral communications abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and common office software applications is required
• COLTS logistics database

Clearance:

US Citizenship required; Minimum Secret clearance required.
