SAIC is seeking a Release Manager for our HALO program which is a part of the National Intelligence Community. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the packaging, testing, and deployment of software releases. This individual will work closely with software development teams, security personnel, IT operations, and various stakeholders to ensure that software releases are delivered on time. This position is in Reston, VA. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the release calendar, coordinating with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of release and deployment activities, ensuring adherence to security protocols and clearances.
• Facilitate release planning meetings to identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Manage the release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases for multiple applications.
• Automate build, deployment, and continuous integration processes to improve efficiency and quality of releases.
• Ensure that the release process adheres to all required security checks and compliance standards.
• Coordinate quality assurance procedures to validate releases, including security assessments and operational readiness.
• Ensure that the software release process meets all aspects of quality control, including functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
• Identify risks associated with the software release and develop contingency plans in collaboration with the development team and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement in the release process.
• Maintain documentation regarding release procedures, configurations, updates, and versioning.
• Ensure all release activities are conducted in compliance with government regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.

Desired Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or related field

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development or release management.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems, automated build processes, and release management tools.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages relevant to automating build and release processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly secure environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desired Experience:

• Certifications in project management and/or release management
• Experience with Confluence

Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with the required poly.
