Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a NISS/NCCS Automated Test Software Engineer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies. 

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

Develops and executes automated testing procedures for application development and sustainment activities for the Program Executive Office (PEO) efforts on NISS, NCCS and other applications for enterprise IT solution improvements to the DCSA OCIO environment IAW DoD and DCSA OCIO policies, procedures, and data standards. Collaborates with QA Analysts and Software Developers to design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for software projects. Provides an overall automation and integration strategy for the application or product lifecycle. Identifies and assists in procuring the appropriate set of tools for each stage of the development lifecycle. Designs, develops, and executes test automation scripts for new new/updated software using test automation guidelines. Stays abreast of and applies industry and DOD best practices for quality software testing to meet user requirements. Supports automated testing for delivery of enhancements and improved user experience.

Duties include:

  • Critical decision-making responsibility to see that requirements are met; develops and executes test plans and procedures for software projects, such as databases, web services, SharePoint portals, and IT service management tools, on classified, unclassified, and coalition networks, as part of software transition and deployment. 
  • Works closely with developers and/or stakeholders to gather requirements in order to create clearly defined, detailed automated test scripts.
  • Develops automated test scripts and ensures all automated testing software deliverables were completed and submitted to Configuration Manager.
  • Executes automated test scripts for major deployments of new/updated software.
  • Coordinates with the test team to run all automated test scripts for the application deployment activities into production environments.
  • Coordinates with O&M transition teams and stakeholders to ensure the deployment is successful.
  • Provides an overall automation and integration strategy for the application or product lifecycle.
  • Uses industry and DOD best practices for quality software test to meet user requirements.
  • Identifies and assists in procuring the appropriate set of tools for each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Creates and executes test automation scripts.
  • Uses technical writing skills to clearly identify test objectives and results.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the NISS/NCCS Automated Test Software Engineer have the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS.
  • Nine (9) or more years of experience, or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Agile Software Testing experience.
  • IAT Level II, Security+ or equivalent (or higher).

Desired Qualifications

  • MA/MS.
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of experience.
  • Experience with Java in AWS Suite.
  • Experience with Selenium and TestNG.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
