Microsoft Power Platform Developer/RPA Developer 

SAIC is seeking an experienced Power Platform/Robotic Process Automation (RPA) developer who will support a range of customers within and outside of SAIC, including government clients, by automating business processes via tools such as Power Automate. This position will provide the opportunity to work across the entire automation and development life cycle. Given the growing demand for automation solutions and the increasing complexity of business processes, this role is crucial in driving efficiency and innovation within our organization and for SAIC’s customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience with the Microsoft Power Platform. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business processes that can be automated, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.

This position can be worked remotely from anywhere within the United States. Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust. 

Power Platform/RPA Developer Responsibilities: 

  • Develop optimized strategies for automating business processes using the Microsoft Power Platform
    • Have experience integrating Power Apps and Power Automate flows with a variety of data sources and leveraging connectors and APIs
    • Proficiency in Model-Driven and Canvas Apps
  • Develop custom applications using PowerApps and the Power Fx language
  • Develop complex custom workflows using Power Automate to automate business processes; Experience with both Power Automate desktop and cloud flows
  • Have knowledge of Power Platform administration, including environment management and security configuration
  • Design technical solutions to automate business processes and build automations using either Microsoft Power Automate or UiPath, depending on customer requirements
  • Create and execute tests to evaluate functional and non-functional performance of solutions
  • Document and update solution designs throughout the automation life cycle
  • Perform detailed estimations for the time and effort to complete aspects of the project
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in the production environment
  • Collaborate with a business analyst to work directly with clients to define requirements, explore solutions, and assess the technical feasibility of RPA or Power Platform solutions for the given problem
  • Mentor fellow Power Platform developers 
  • Educate and train business stakeholders on deployed solutions by establishing knowledge base articles and user guides, hosting live training sessions, conducting formal trainings, developing training modules, and other methods to ensure successful adoption by the business groups
  • Meet with customers to gather additional requirements detail or resolve incidents in production
  • Adhere to best practices and participate in team meetings to further mature standards and practices of the development team
  • Provide feedback to other developers by performing code reviews and technical design reviews
  • Evaluate change requests to determine approach and level of effort and communicate it back to either the project team or customer
  • Work collaboratively as a member of SAIC’s Innovation Factory Hyperautomation team, but also independently
  • Generate quality deliverables with little supervision

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as computer science or STEM-related field and five (5) years or more of relevant experience.
  • Power Platform Certification (PL-500 Certification) can be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience working directly with the Microsoft Power Platform; experience with UiPath and other automation tools is a plus.
  • Experience working with aspects of Microsoft’s Power Platform and Office 365 suite – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, OneNote, Planner, etc.
  • Proficient in creating connectors, flows, and templates within Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Experience with Agile and user story documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Tooling like GIT/JIRA/Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience working closely with customers on requirements and execution.
  • Excellence in planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • The ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly.
  • Relevant certifications or ability to obtain relevant certifications.
  • Strong ability to effectively multi-task and manage concurrent projects with varying priorities.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Power Platform Certification (PL-500 Certification).
  • Experience working with other Robotic Process Automation platforms, such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.
  • Experience Designing and Developing custom reports and dashboards to analyze data using Power BI.
  • Experience working with Power BI, Oracle’s Business Objects, SSRS, Tableau, Cognos, etc.
  • Experience working with business process modeling and automation tools, such as Pega or Appian, etc.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
