Description
SAIC is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to support the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy for Intelligence and Security, or DUSN (I&S), as part of a cross-functional Department of Navy (DON) team charged with developing, implementing, and overseeing the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) / Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Due Diligence process.
This position is Hybrid Remote with work located in Arlington, VA.
Job duties include:
- Responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing procedures for Navy SBIR/STTR due diligence requests.
- Prepare reports/products, make assessments, and provide industrial security expertise.
- Provide industrial security support by assessing security risks and FOCI factors of small business concerns (SBCs) seeking a SBIR/STTR award.
- Liaison with stakeholders in support of the DUSN I&S due diligence process.
- Assist in creation of and recommend mitigation actions to potential security risks.
- Standardize contract Security language and requirements for mitigation and protection.
- Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Requirements.
- Check multiple government and commercial databases such as the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- In coordination with DUSN (I&S) Counterintelligence (CI) and Acquisition Security support, serve as the DUSN I&S Industrial Security SME.
- Brief findings in support of the DON Risk Mitigation Review Board. Provide administrative support (i.e., scheduling, organize, notes, after action report) for the risk mitigation review board.
- Review proposal security requirements and mitigation measures when SBIR/STTR transitions to another phase or becomes a program of record (Classified / Unclassified).
- Perform any other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's and nine (9) years experience; Masters and seven (7) years experience.
- TS/SCI required to start.
- US citizenship required.
- Experience in Acquisition, Industrial Security and/or Information Security.
- Experience supporting DoD and/or IC.
- Experience with SBIR/STTR.
- Ability to work both independently and with personnel from multiple organizations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work directly with senior Department of Defense personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to work from high-level, limited, and evolving guidance to produce timely and effective results is highly desirable.
