SAIC has an opportunity for an Agile Scrum Master located in Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will guide and coach a Scrum Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver high-quality products and services to the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) Studies and Analytics Division.

Duties Include:

• Act as a facilitator for the Scrum Team.
• Help the team embrace Agile Core Values, adopt and apply Agile principles, and implement Agile practices.
• Guide the Scrum Team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Remove impediments to the team’s progress to its sprint commitments.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives).
• Assist the Product Owner with the product backlog management, helping to define and prioritize stories and epics.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated configuration management processes to streamline software identification, control, deployment, and reporting.
• Oversee the integration and sustainability of internally developed and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
• Implement and refine build procedures to support the life cycle of software development and deployment.
• Lead in the training of the software development team on the adoption of configuration management tools and adherence to quality standards.
• Coach the team in Agile practices to optimize the efficiency of the team and project.
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management.
• Ensure that the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.  
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or similar certification.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team.
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
• Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of software development processes and quality assurance.
• Must be a US citizen and currently possess an active TS/SCI Clearance.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
