SAIC is hiring a a Senior Digital Engineer for  contract with the FAA HQ in Washington, DC.  This position is remote and the applicant can reside anywhere within the U.S. but must be able to travel to SAIC facilities (Reston, VA and Washington D.C.) and FAA customer facilities (Washington, D.C. and Atlantic City, NJ) on an as-needed basis.

Responsible for creating and optimizing digital solutions to enhance meet FAA customer experience, streamline business and solution processes, and support the FAA’s digital initiatives.  This role involves working with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies, integrate systems, and drive innovation. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Implements user interfaces and experiences using modern frameworks. 
  •  Automates workflows and optimizes digital processes using advanced tools. 
  • Works with data engineers and analysts to incorporate data-driven insights into digital solutions. 
  • Collaborates with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to align solutions with mission needs. 
  • Monitors and maintains digital platforms for reliability and performance.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree and nine (9) years or more of related experience or Masters and seven (7) years or more of related experience
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Hands on experience with maintaining digital platforms
  • Experience automating workflows and digital processes
  • Experience coordinating with data engineers and analysts to provide digital solutions
  • Knowledge and use of low-code/no-code data analytics and data science tools (Tableau, Dataiku, Cloud AI tools).

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience on working with Agile development teams.
  • Experience managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google cloud.
  • History working with the FAA or DOT data.


Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
