Description
SAIC is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team supporting an important US government agency in the National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team that engineers and implements upgrades and changes to critical IT systems and applications.
This role requires on-site work in Washington, D.C. 2 days per week.
The customer manages and maintains a roadmap of IT infrastructure projects and upgrades that are prioritized and assigned for execution to SAIC. Major projects include Azure and Microsoft Dynamics migrations, RedHat (RHEL) and Windows Server and Desktop operating system upgrades, Oracle Database and Middleware Upgrades, ZTA implementation, NetBackup Modernization, Mobile Device Refresh and more. These are a few examples of the important projects for which the project manager in this position would be responsible for leading and managing.
Project managers provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams comprised of systems engineers, test engineers, systems administrators, database administrators, federal project sponsors and others. Project managers are responsible for scope, schedule, and quality performance of IT project teams.
Responsibilities also include conducting scrum ceremonies, managing scope, coordinating stakeholder participation, assessing, and mitigating risks, reporting progress against plan, and collecting lessons learned.
